IMG_9058I am a researcher, editor, and former journalist. I have a long-standing interest in public scholarship, open access and epistemic equality, as well as open publishing models and infrastructures, particularly in the context of higher-ed. I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the ScholCommLab at Simon Fraser University, where I coordinate a project that examines equity, inclusion and engagement in open science in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. From 2020 to 2022, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, as well as Editor-in-Chief of the HKS Misinformation Review, an open access journal that publishes interdisciplinary research on misinformation, as well as on measures aimed at combating it.

In 2019, I received my PhD from the Department of Information Studies at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Previously, I studied Media Anthropology, Education/Cultural Studies and Optometry at the School of Oriental and African Studies in England, the UCLA Department of Education, and the Athens University of Applied Sciences in Greece, respectively. My outlook is highly interdisciplinary and informed, in addition to my academic training, by my background in journalism, publishing, and art management.
